The Paddle Canada Basic Flatwater Skills Course offers the skills one would need to paddle proficiently in calm conditions. Our instructors will teach skills such as proper paddling technique, standing vs kneeling, how to fall, weather interpretation and various other basic skills. The client upon successful completion of the course will receive a certificate through Paddle Canada.
This course builds upon the skills that are taught in the basic course as well as teaches new ones. Students will learn advanced techniques such as pivot turns, moving on the board, basic navigation skills, bracing and many others. This course will cover the skills required to move on to the Surf, Touring and River streams. The client upon successful completion of the course will receive a certificate through Paddle Canada
