Nellore: Senior BJP leader Karnati Anjaneya Reddy has refuted the criticism of the TDP, YSRCP and Congress against the NDA Government on the allocation of funds for the development of Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, he said though the Centre failed to make any budgetary allocation, it had provided funds for railway projects, subsidies for setting up industries in the State and extended assistance for  building the capital city.

Coming down heavily on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for sanctioning Rs 1,200 crore to a Singapore consultancy firm for the construction of the capital, Reddy wondered why such huge amount was sanctioned, especially when the State was facing a financial crunch. He advised the TDP leaders to take the Chhattisgarh model for constructing a capital like Raipur, without any hitch.
